POMP! is all about celebrating our graduating Scholars. Each May, we celebrate our graduating college and high school seniors at our POMP! benefit. This year, the Covid-19 pandemic made it impossible to host POMP!, which is also our most important fundraising event of the year. Despite the upheaval and suffering Covid-19 caused in our community and nation, we knew we had 56 reasons to celebrate -- 21 college and 35 high school grads. So, on May 8 2020, POMP! went virtual! Our online celebration included Scholar music, videos, and speakers, a peak at the places our high school grads plan to attend college, and other exciting reasons to support our students on their journeys through college and into careers. Proceeds from POMP! provide programs and support services to ensure more Evanston students from low-income, first-generation, and/or underrepresented families graduate from college and obtain strong jobs.
