Alison Segal
Ali has over ten years of experience working in higher education and the high school-to-college transition space. She began her career in the profession in undergraduate admissions at the University of Chicago, where she oversaw international admissions and was a member of the founding working group of the Collegiate Scholars Program. Subsequently she worked as a high school college counselor in both public and private school settings, and most recently, for college access programs in the UK and the US. As a master’s student at Northwestern University she conducted original research on graduates of the United States Achievers Program (USAP), a global college access program that supports highly talented, economically disadvantaged students from around the world to gain access and funding to attend leading US colleges and universities.
Recently, Ali served as the Program/Office Coordinator for Evanston Scholars. In addition, Ali served as the Career Coach for the Masters of Science in Higher Education (MSHE) Program at Northwestern University. Ali is a 2008 graduate of Northwestern’s MSHE Program, and a 1997 graduate of Amherst College. She lives in Evanston with her husband and two sons.
