Serena Walker
Serena Walker is a recent graduate of Northwestern University (B.A. 2014) where she studied African American Studies and Political Science. Outside of the classroom, Serena dedicated her time working to combat inequality; volunteering extensively at LIFT Chicago, tutoring and mentoring many students, and serving as Co-President of the Chicago Area Mentorship Program. She spent the year after graduation in Madrid, Spain, teaching ESL and increasing her Spanish fluency. After a rewarding year in Spain, Serena is excited to come back to Evanston and serve a community that is near to her heart. In her free time, Serena enjoys photography, trying new food, exploring and spending as much quality time as possible with her friends, family and dog.
